[Each of the I's presented here in color are printed in a different font, on a page of its own, set very large, mostly at 600 pt.]
I
This is a terrible way to begin.
That thing over there looks more like a g than an I.
But what am I supposed to do?
If I’m committed to a book of I’s, setting them, in alphabetical order, in 100 of the 240 fonts I happen to have loaded in my word-processing software, then I have to start with an I in the font called #필기체.
I don’t even know what language that it is.
If I click on it, it says it’s Apple Gothic, which actually looks like this.
But if I highlight a text and select #필기체, then I get a face that looks like this.
WTF.
Story of my life.
I
Let me rally my forces.
And try again.
I scream.
I
I am in earnest—I will not equivocate—I will not excuse—I will not retreat a single inch—AND I WILL BE HEARD.
William Lloyd Garrison
The Liberator, January 1, 1831

Nice and simple, first things first…
