Babylon Salon, at Cantina SF, 580 Sutter St., 7 pm., was heralded by an A-frame sign, in the manner of the pop-up, site-specific book tour.
Reading second, I led off with my version of the Champion Jack Dupree classic “Junker’s Blues.” (p. 21 in AOJ)
and ended with a shortened version of my story “The Other Side,” which appeared in the August Sparkle & Blink.
A Total Junker begins with a selfie and concludes with an aye. The chronology is disjunct. Each slice demands its own format.
